ANDROID EMAIL CONFIGURATION
Please find the settings below helpful with setting up an IMAP configuration on the Android ‘Email’ app:
– Open the ‘Email’ application
– Go to ‘Settings’ or use the ‘+’ sign to add new account
– Enter the unique email address and password for that email account
– Select ‘Manual setup’
– Select IMAP account
The incoming mail server page will open
Username = email address
Pass = password for that unique email address
IMAP server = mail.yourdomain.com
Security = none
! If you want to enable SSL then use your ‘Incoming Mail Server: (SSL)’ (e.g. cpanel-123-xyz.hostingww.com) instead of mail.yourdomain.com. You can find the correct server to use in your cPanel hosting confirmation email.
– Leave port and path prefix as is
– ‘Next’
The outgoing mail server page will open
SMTP server = mail.yourdomain.com
Security = none
!! If you want to enable SSL then use your ‘Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL)’ (e.g. cpanel-123-xyz.hostingww.com) instead of mail.yourdomain.com. You can find the correct server to use in your cPanel hosting confirmation email.
– Check-box ‘require sign-in’
– Leave port as is
Username = unique email address
Pass = unique password for that email account
– ‘Next’
Your phone/device will check settings, and if successful, will the bring up account information.
Edit contact details for the email address etc, proceed and when finished, select ‘Done’
